south of Austin, Texas. We have reserved
two climate controlled lodges
with adjoining rooms. The 7A Ranch Resort will
remind you of youthful days
at summer camp! Each room
has two double beds and sleeps
2-4 people so if you know someone else who is coming, plan to board with him/her
or
rooms will be assigned/available on a
first come/first serve basis
(please note that campers
will be sharing rooms). The rooms
are quite rustic and
offer minimal amenities,

Subject to Change
The best part is that you
get to choose your own
schedule based on your own
personal interests! You
will have 2-4 group class
options to choose from at any
given point. Individual
sessions are set to
accommodate beginners and
experts alike!
Mini-behavior lectures are
built into the weekend to
ensure that you leave with a
better understanding of
Canine Behavior and
Relationships...this also
gives your dog some much
needed downtime between
learning or play
sessions.
WHO
SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for
both the novice and the
expert! Dog enthusiasts from weekend trainers to
performance event competitors to animal shelter/rescue workers would
all enjoy this camp and find the
experience satisfying. You
will have the choice to
attend basic or advanced
courses based on your
companion's experience or
comfort level. Junior
handlers are welcome with the
enrollment of a parent or
guardian...consider making it
a family event! Each
camper may enroll 1-2 dogs.
"The entire staff
was awesome and worked so
hard to make camp a great
event for everyone...applause
applause!" -

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
What airport
should I fly into? You
will want to fly into
the Austin-Bergstrom
Airport in Austin,
Texas. The drive
time between the airport and
7A Ranch Resort is
approximately 1.5 hours.
Which dog(s) should I
bring? Each camper may
enroll 1-2 dogs. Choose
your dog based on your
specific camp interests.
Please understand that while
your dog will be
"playing" with you
(and not other dogs), this is
not the appropriate
environment for your dog if
she is human or dog
aggressive or suffers from
separation anxiety or other
severe behavior
problems. All dogs must
be crate trained.
What should I pack? Bring
anything you would take for a
weekend away including your
bathing suit! The river
is waiting for you. Please
bring a copy of your dog's
vaccination records, a six-foot
leash and a properly fitted Martingale (no-slip) collar.
We will
NOT allow
retractable leashes, pinch, choke or shock
collars. Please note that the
Martingale collar should be worn
only under supervision. Include
any other training gear that
you typically use. Pack
Fido's food, meds, crate,
favorite treats or
toys. If you are flying
in, please ask us in advance
for a crate for use during
camp! You may wish to
pack extra snacks or goodies
for yourself as well!
Flash lights and tennis shoes
are highly recommended.
Will there be anything other than dog stuff?
While there will be lots and lots of dog stuff, there are certainly other things to do to in your spare moments. Swimming, fishing, and tubing on the Blanco
River are all possibilities. The resort is walking distance to downtown Wimberley and not too far of a drive from downtown Austin and its legendary nightlife.
Is there a
discounted fee if I
choose not to stay at
the lodge? Because
of the fees incurred by
LMCCB in reserving the
lodges for purposes of
this event, we are
unable to offer a
reduced rate for campers
who choose to stay
elsewhere.
What is the
cancellation/refund
policy? The Campers Fee shall be paid in
full at the time of
registration. You may
be eligible for a full refund
if requested
prior to September
1st.
Refunds requested on or
after September 1st will be issued
a 50% refund. No
refunds will be made as of
October 10, 2008. All
refunds must be requested
via email at lmccb@lmccb.com
.
Please note that there is a
$25 cancellation fee. There are
no exceptions to this
policy.
