Bettering relationships
between people and
dogs...it's what we do
best!

On the April, 2008,
dog camp in Wimberly
Every day is a party
for my boykin spaniel,
Josie. She has an
exuberant, sunny
disposition. The best I
can do to repay her gift
of happiness to me and my
family is to make the
extra effort to entertain
her. She agreed that we
would attend your dog
camp.
Lee, your camp was just
an over the top great
experience for us both!!!!
We were pampered and there
were so many events to
choose from. We really
enjoyed the other campers
(both dogs and owners).
Your staff and teachers
were outstanding. There
was delicious food and a
beautiful location by the
river, too.
It occurs to me that
there could have been
total chaos and bedlam
with some sixty dogs and
way over 100 owners. But,
instead, it was like a big
peaceable kingdom, with
owners and dogs of all
shapes, sizes and
temperaments, having a
grand time. All because of
your good leadership, Lee.
Very well done! Thank you.

On teaching dogs
independence w/ Shari:
I was absolutely
FLOORED last night when we
went to sleep. Sadie got
in the bed that is not in
the crate and Hector
ACTUALLY WALKED IN THE
CRATE on his own, layed
down and slept in there
the whole night - no
whining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shari, I almost started
crying I was so happy! I
know I can't get *too*
excited yet but I thought
that was HUGE!
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!
whatever y'all did out
there yesterday worked
10-fold! ~ Tanis
A
"Berry" nice
tale...
Four
years ago I started
training my dog,
Berry, in agility.
He was terrified of
the dog walk, so after six
months of traditional
classes I took him to a
well-known training
facility for private
lessons.
After several
months, the trainer told
me that
Berry
would never learn the dog
walk unless we used a
shock collar.
I would not put a
shock collar on my dog, so
I just gave up on the
agility for 3 years.
Then
I met Lee Mannix!
Lee took one look
at
Berry
and said "you have a
good agility dog
already."
He also said that
he could teach the dog
walk in one session.
I had major doubts,
but figured what have I
got to lose?
In a 10 minute
session, the dog I had
given up on long ago was
trotting over the dog walk
as sweet as you please!
Lee
has an exceptional
perception of each
individual dog's
personality.
He saw that
Berry
had a good relationship
with me and he built on
that to overcome his fear
of the obstacle in front
of him.
I
would certainly recommend
LMCCB to other people who
have given up on their
dogs…even if your dog
has failed with other
trainers! Thanks for
showing me the dog I did
not know I had!

"It's
all in the Training"
At
14 weeks of age, Chase
began showing signs of
aggression. Chase
could not be in sight of
another dog without
explosive behavior...for
me, this ruled out
agility, herding or any
other fun activity I
wanted to do with my dog.
Last
summer, I was referred to
LMCCB. I met with
Lee and Kimberly for an
evaluation and instantly
knew that I had found the
right place. After 3
private lessons with
Kimberly, Chase was a
different dog!
Kimberly taught me a new
and wonderful way of
training through positive
reinforcement. I
learned how to correct
undesirable behavior with
only two words, "Too
Bad". She
taught me how to keep my
dog's attention and for
him to trust me. It
wasn't long until we found
ourselves in a group
class...off leash!
Wow! We are now in
our fourth class at LMCCB,
Advanced Agility.
Chase
recently earned his Canine
Good Citizen Award
and it's all thanks to
Kimberly, Lee and
Shari. Thank you for
all of your patience,
support and
encouragement. I
have a dog that I can
enjoy now and love the
things we can now do
together!

On Lee's Best Friends
Seminar in Utah...
I just wanted
to thank you again for the
great ideas you shared
with us during the Best
Friends Seminar in
Utah. In
addition to the work with
dogs, I believe you
facilitated more
cooperative work among
staff and I appreciate
your honesty. Thank
you for helping me
reevaluate my thinking
about dogs. I only
wish I would have met you
sooner!

On
learning to retrieve and
play in the Praise Your
Heart Out: Distance
Training Class...
I'm
so happy that Bernie is
happier, looking to me for
good, fun things and is
more energetic about
training now. It's
really all about
relationship building --
this is the
key!

On
Private Lessons with
Kimberly...
"Lily
and I had a great time
yesterday. We both
left the Center in really
good moods. It's so
rewarding to have a
training session and see
such a difference after
only one hour. You
have such a wonderfully
gentle manner and Lily
really responds well to
you."

On
Training in the Park with
Shari...
"fantastic
class it was last night. I
learned more last night in
one hour than I would have
learned in several
classes! It really helps
to me train in that
environment because you
are there to show us how
to deal with real life
situations as the occur.
You are amazing! I am so
thankful you are committed
to dogs and those who are
trying to train them!

On
the July 2006 Dog
Aggression Seminar @
Irving, TX with Lee,
Shari &
Kimberly...
Lee Mannix and
his associates have
restored my
confidence...my
reactive Border
Collie can be
rehabilitated!!!
The tools I learned
at the seminar
include unique ideas
and novel methods of
addressing behavior
problems.
Every reactive dog
and handler left
improved! All
without the use of
harm or intimidation
to gain
results. I
found the entire
experience stunning.
